In Den Helder, the thrift store was opened over 38 years ago. Since then, it has been one of the busiest thrift shops for years. On the ground floor, you will find the furniture and curiosities. The first floor consists of the small goods department, electricity, toys, and clothing. CDs, DVDs, and books can be found on the second floor.
RataPlan is the largest recycling chain in the Netherlands. It has 30 thrift stores in North Holland, South Holland, and Flevoland where you can find secondhand books, electronics, furniture, lighting, and clothing.
The purpose of the thrift shops and bicycle sheds is to offer work to people who are at a great distance from the labor market. Together with you, RataPlan gives people and the environment a second chance and ensures more employment, reuse, and a cleaner world.
